Using a wysiwyg is as easy as editing a text document. With this small tutorial you will see step by step how to edit an manipulate your data on your new created site.
In all Content Management Systems you will have the option to have a user login added to your site to get special privileges depending on the user settings in the Control Panel! This is only available once the user have logged on.
Step 1.
- Log into your account by using the login form found on your site. *Depending on your settings this might only be available once activated through the control panel*
Step 2.
- This will open up a whole new world for you as Super-User. When you have received the successful login screen you can have a look at your articles on your site, see any difference? If you take a good look you will see an icon appearing on the top / bottom of your site depending on your template settings. This icon will usually be represented as a notepad and pencil.

Step 3.
- Now, if you have found your icon hovering or hanging below your article go ahead and click on the icon. You will now see a editor open that looks something like this.
*this editor might differ from site to site depending on wysiwyg plugin, in this tutorial i am using the JCE Editor which does not come standard with Joomla installations*

- Insert/Edit image
- Align Text
- Set Styles, Format's, Font Family, Font Size
- Listings
- Subscripts
- Tables
- Layers
- and much much more! Infact, This whole Tutorial was done inside this very editor. After editing your article you may save by clicking on the save button to save your alterations directly. You will now be redirected back to the article on your site without the editor.
